Chiasson asks Nadine if she has a relationship with Patrick. She takes the opportunity to follow up with him about Bruno Gagné, whom she would like to recruit as an investigator. Patrick and Nadine are called to investigate the circumstances of the death of little Lily, eight months old, who fell ill during the night. Dr. Lauzon, who received her at the hospital, believes it could be a case of a shaken baby. They meet in turn the father, Benoît Paquette who was in Toronto when it happened, his sister-in-law Mélanie who was at home with the little and young Camille who looked after the baby during the fateful evening. Nadine meets the other Anne in Patrick's life, a fatal beauty.
