The United States is building radar networks for bombers and intercontinental missiles. The Nordic countries are waking up to the increased threat of nuclear war and are concerned about the effects of large-scale nuclear tests in the vicinity. The revealed espionage activities of the United States are causing a major crisis in Norway.
