Deforestation is ravaging the Amazon. Illegal loggers are destroying wide tracts of forest and massive agricultural corporations are buying up land to develop into farms. Scientists warn we are fast approaching a tipping point beyond which the forest's collapse will be irreversible. If this happens, they say there will be serious consequences on global climate and food supply.
