President Trump travels to Davos for a meeting of the world economic elite after making new comments about potentially acquiring Greenland. NBC News' Garrett Haake reports. Markets faced a steep sell-off as investors show worry over a new trade war with Europe. NBC News' Christine Romans reports. President Trump touted the ICE mission, including over 3,000 arrests of criminal suspects in Minnesota in recent weeks. However, he also acknowledged ICE may have made ‘mistakes' in its operations. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. Several good samaritans rushed to rescue a woman who drove her SUV into freezing water in Virginia Beach. During the dramatic rescue, they shattered the windshield and pulled the woman to safety. NBC News' Liz Kreutz spoke to one of the people who leapt into action, a longtime rescue swimmer with the Navy who happened to be eating lunch nearby. In New Mexico, a judge ruled that actor Timothy Busfield will be released as he awaits trial on sexual abuse allegations. Prosecutors called Busfield dangerous as the defense said all of the allegations were not true. NBC News' Dana Griffin was in court and has the story. A dangerous mix of heavy snow and bitter cold is blanketing much of the country. In some places today, temperatures felt like negative 20 degrees.
