Their last matchup was the 2023 NFL Kickoff Game on NBC and Peacock, which the Lions won, 21-20. Montgomery scored the go-ahead game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter and the Lions' defense stopped a potential game-winning drive by the Chiefs in the closing minutes.
