Nikolai Gordeev was found in his apartment in a coma and with a head wound. In recent days, Nikolai had been drinking and quarreling with Grigory Ivanovich, his father. The reason for the quarrel was usually an Afghan rug, which Grigory Ivanovich asked to be thrown away because of asthma, and Nikolai did not want to part with a memorable thing for him. Fortunately, Nikolai survived, and his father was not involved in the sad event. Mukhtar helps to find the culprit and receives the Afghan rug as a reward.
