Prof. Frey wants to refer the mother of three Doreen to a psychiatric clinic. But Michelle believes there is a physical cause for Doreen's suffering and investigates. Doreen complains of numerous symptoms, but examinations by various doctors confirm that she is in perfect health. Because of her changed behavior, she is in danger of losing her family. Michelle is her last chance. Dr. Ballouz screwed up. His chance for a new life with Eva is lost. He escapes to work, eats too many sweets and surrenders to his single life with his cat Brigitte. Cindy, whose cancer has returned, refuses treatment. Ballouz repeatedly implores Cindy not to give up. Until Cindy finally says to him: "I'll only fight again if you do the same.
