Born over a century ago out of necessity to protect local surf towns from dangerous waters, Surf Life Saving is vital to the safety of beach communities. To maintain their skills, surf life savers train constantly and compete against each other in surf and sand races at Surf Carnivals. And they do it all for the love of the surf.
