Sheriff defends handling of evidence in search for Nancy Guthrie Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos tells NBC News investigators are pursuing "good leads" in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie and denied reports of tension with the FBI. NBC News' Liz Kreutz reports. Police in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, say at least two people were killed and three others were in critical condition after a shooting at a high school hockey game. The suspected shooter was also found dead at the scene. NBC News' Emilie Ikeda reports. In Virginia, a massive house explosion and fire prompted dozens of homes to evacuate. One man inside raced to escape with the help of his neighbors. Rescue crews in West Texas spent hours getting a researcher out of a cave, hundreds of feet below ground, after a rock hit her in the head. Teams had to navigate steep drops and squeeze through crevices to get her to safety. NBC News' Ryan Chandler reports. Oscar-winning actor Robert Duvall has died at age 95, according to his family. Duvall dominated the silver screen for decades, known for roles in "The Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now." NBC News' Steve Patterson reports.
