At the construction site of an elite complex in the city center, the body of a man was found suspended from a crane. This is Alexey Avdeev, a lawyer engaged in consumer protection. The medical examiner determines that this is not suicide, as the development director is trying to prove. The investigation is hampered by too contradictory testimonies about the deceased of his wife and friends. Sokolovsky clings to one inconsistency in the testimonies of relatives.
