Anna defends her right to be an honest judge, despite the public perception that judges and prosecutors are subservient and corrupt. However, she often has to compromise to maintain her position. She experiences great sorrow: she loses her child, then her beloved job, her reputation, and her social standing. The question is: how can she survive and be happy?
